About the program

Hartland Winter Trails is very happy to announce our equipment lending program. Over the years, our organization has been gifted or purchased lightly-used equipment to create and build upon the opportunity for the community to borrow what’s needed to get out on the Hartland Winter Trails.

Maybe you have thought about trying cross-country skiing or snowshoeing but don’t wish to make the investment of purchasing a pair until you have given it a try. Perhaps you have a friend or family member visiting for the weekend and you would like to take them on the Hartland Winter Trails but you need equipment for them to borrow.

How to participate

To borrow equipment, visit the marked shed at 17 Lull Farm Lane. We have a number of pairs of equipment sized for adults and children which can be signed out for up to 10 days at a time on a first come, first serve basis.

You are welcome to borrow the equipment as many times as they are available through the season, but they should not be taken for the entire season giving consideration to others for their use.

We hope you will take a pair for a jaunt on the trails and decide firsthand how much fun getting out in the snow on a Vermont winter’s day can be!
